Samuel got his cast off last week. His arm healed just fine. This summer Samuel took a fun class at our Community Center called Super Duper Heroes. It met one morning a week for 4 weeks. So. As you can guess from the title, our trip last weekend was not exactly ideal. The actual visiting with family was great, but the getting there and getting home was not. Things started out just fine. Our flight was on time in Fort Wayne. We went through the security line with plenty of time to spare (side note: they did a vapor test on Becca's bottle at the little tiny Fort Wayne airport.

Becca has really figured out the crawling thing the past few days. She was just rocking back and forth on her hands and knees, or scooting backwards, but now if you set her down on the floor, she will actually crawl. She loves being able to get around on her own!

A few weeks ago we found a robin's nest in a bush right off our front porch.Samuel has really enjoyed checking the nest each day to see the progress of the baby birds: I'm not sure how much longer the birds are going to be able to fit in the nest. As I've mentioned in previous posts, Samuel loves to help clean. A few weeks ago he wanted to use our mop all the time, but it was too big and he kept looking like he was about to pole vault with it, so we got him a smaller one. Here are some pictures of me the past few weeks at 28, 29, and 30 weeks:At my doctor's appointment a month ago, the baby's heartbeat was around 140, which the nurse said was on the slow side, possibly indicating a boy. However, at my appointment last week, the heartbeat was 150, which she said might mean a girl. So, who knows. We will find out soon enough, as I only have 2 months left to go!

Samuel had his Spring Program at school last week. Last year he just sat on the stage and stared out at the audience - no singing, no hand movements to the songs, nothing. We have a book called Kid Concoctions that has all kinds of neat activities. One recipe in the book is for making paint to use in the bath tub - put shaving cream into an ice cube tray and add a drop of food coloring to each section. I know our blog has been sadly neglected lately. This is mostly due to the fact that I have been finishing up a class (medical transcription) and have been giving that my full attention. Lately Samuel has been obsessed with our camera.
