The Awesome Mop

As I've mentioned in previous posts, Samuel loves to help clean. A few weeks ago he wanted to use our mop all the time, but it was too big and he kept looking like he was about to pole vault with it, so we got him a smaller one. It's actually something you are supposed to use to clean the shower, but it works just fine as a kid-sized mop. Bonus for all the other engineering-minded 4 year olds out there: the handle retracts.

We don't normally have that much stuff out on our island. I had just returned from the grocery store and was in the process of putting everything away, that's why it is such a mess. (This sidenote has been brought to you by my OCD.)

Chatterbox

Here's a video of Becca making her talking sounds. It's a little hard to hear because she has her hands stuffed in her mouth (her favorite thing ever), but you can hear her cute little voice:

4 months old

Here's Becca's 4 month picture:

I have no idea of her height or weight because she doesn't have her next appointment at the doctor for another month, but she is obviously growing a lot. She continues to be a happy, happy baby. She is not consistently sleeping through the night yet, but I am hoping that changes soon. She does at least nap well during the day in her crib, which is something Samuel never did at that age (for naps, we used to have to put him in his bouncy seat in the bathroom, in the dark, with the fan on, and bounce him to sleep while singing to him. And even after all of that, he would wake up after 45 minutes. However, he was sleeping through the night by 4 months, so I suppose it's a trade off.)

We put up a jumpy seat for Becca this past week, and, as you can see, she likes that a lot:

Lately it's not as much fun to play with the toys at our house as it is to take them apart completely to see how they work:
